I saw this article from the New York Times and it made it very difficult to ignore the reality of the Iraq and Afghanistan war. It's unbelievable to think it's been seven years and running, but more importantly I don't think we realize the actual impact it has to the families and friends. These families and friends who lose their loved one have to go on every day going forward knowing they will never see their son or daughter, father, brother, sister, mother again.
