Mr. West has been making a full public come back in preparation of his new album being released this fall. His first single Power, produced by Symbolyc One, has been out for a month or so now and he just released this video by Marco Brambilla. Yeezy says it's a portrait, not a video, and the more you look at it, it definitely looks like a painting, a moving one. Pretty brilliant. I think it is GENIUS. Because you think all the time, how can Kanye come out with something even more brilliant and he did. I dont love the song, but the video is epic and legendary. However I have a feeling most people dont appreciate how brilliant it actually is. I think that is why Kanye never wins like he thinks he will, because the masses dont think on his level. Most people will see that and say "Oh it's animated, big deal". They cant see what he was trying to do. The general public aren't usually that perceptive and appreciative. They dont realize the scope of the video and how it had to be done, how innovative it is. They see things for face value. So that part makes me sad, that it probably wont get the attention of the masses. Just those smart enough to know.
