It's All About the Kids

If you need something to lift your spirits and give you hope for the future that our kids will be okay, take a look at this video.  I  picked it up off of Questloves infamous twitter timeline and I've already watched it a few times and watched the other video's from these fantastic kids.  This video is all that is good with the world.  Kids of all colors, shapes, sizes, giving their audience and each other unconditional love.   You can tell these mighty mites aren't bullying their fellow brothers and sisters and they're all on the same page and that is just making themselves and others feel good through song.  Kudos to the school and teacher that allows them to do this.  Make sure to look at the kids faces and movements when you watch this.  You can see how happy they are and they even have dances or movements that coincide with the song they're singing.  There are also a bunch of links that shows them doing other songs and I'm sure after seeing this one, you'll click on the others.  Enjoy, smile, feel corny, it's okay.  Something will happen soon enough to make you grumpy again, but there is hope...

Broken Bells...not the Liberty

Danger Mouse has done it again as he, Brian Burton and James Mercer, lead singer for the The Shins, have come together to provide quite a fantastic album.  The self titled duo and album, Broken Bells, delivers an album that's hard to put into a specific genre of music and you're better off not trying to.  You get tastes of pop, soul, rock, r&b, electronic and it comes together divinely.   From the first song all the way through the 11 songs, you will not hit skip.  You'll find a couple favorites but i'm sure it's easier to just let it play.  We're all familiar with Burton's musical tastes due to him being one half of Gnarls Barkley and producing those great albums.  He continues his eclectic production and James Mercer is a perfect fit for these awesome soundscapes.  Great album for the spring and summer, the King rules this is a must listen.

Munchies That Won't Kill Ya

I love munchies.  Period.  Salty potato chips, brownies with milk, nachos with cheese, ice cream, you name it, it's been digested more times than we can count.  Since they're usually very easy to grab and eat and already ready to go, it makes it easy to over eat these treats and ultimately that leads to extra pounds.  With Memorial Day and the summer coming up in less than a couple months, we want to try and limit the amount of excess donuts we are carrying and get the beach physique going.  "The beach is that way -->"
I saw this article from WebMD and they give a great look at some of the worst munchies and snack foods and then they provide some healthy alternatives so we can still enjoy some grub in between meals.  These snacks will actually benefit you rather than do bodily harm.  Enjoy!

McNabb Good-Bye Part 2

I saw these pictures and words can't explain the wide variety of negative feelings and emotions that overcame me.  No matter how you look at it, it just doesn't look right or how it should be.  This is fundamentally wrong on many levels.....I keep thinking if I close my eyes long enough, the midnight green with the number 5 on the back will magically appear.  Doesn't look like that will be happening though, you got to be kidding me, did this really happen??  Pics here.

Scarface for Minors

I don't think I'll ever be able to look at my all time favorite movie again in the same way I've watched it the last 58 times I've watched it.  Not after watching this clip that Kanye posted on his new blog.  I think I have to watch it a few more times before I know what to say.  I think it's awesome, but if I was parent, would I be cool with that?  If so, I want my kid to be Tony, hell yeah.  Pick a line, it's unbelievable.
"I got a fudgin junky for a wife..”
Also, listen to the one parent at the end who's yelling Yeah, Yeah at the end.  I say he's Tony's dad.

Pixels by Patrick Jean

It's amazing to see what people's creativity can come up with.  Here's a short film shot in New York that is wicked cool.  Especially for just being less than a few minutes long.  Enjoy.

Stormtroopers Are Real People

Star Wars is the best, even the 3 prequels, and just like the millions of other fans out there, we grew up with the franchise.  There are cult followings for almost anything in the Star Wars family, especially for the Stormtroopers.  I could look at these pictures from WildAmmo.com all day.  Finally, factual evidence that definitely proves that Stormtroopers exist and this is what they do in their downtime.  Super awesome.
